The new Alfa Romeo GTV is expected to be seen in the showrooms sometime in 2021. It will be a two-door coupe and it will have the “Giorgio”, “Giulia” and “Stelvio” signatures in its base. Alfa Romeo intend s to overtake the BMW M4 with this new addition to their coupe lineup.

It will come in two engine editions, and both of them will have an electric motor to boost the power output or to be used for all-electric drive of almost 50km.

The base engine has a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder which will be able to produce 280 horsepower.

The Italian auto-maker will also produce a Quadrifoglio version with a 2.9-liter V-6 twin-turbo engine that will top up at 600+ bhp (Brake Horsepower) with the help of the electric motor.

The 2021 GTV has an exterior which contributes to the company’s attempt to build cars which make a statement. Its bright red color and LED lights look very futuristic. The design puts the Alfa Romeo GTV in competition with the Audi RS5, BMW M4 and the Mercedes-AMG C63 S.

We do not know much about the interior; however, we expect something like the Giulia but in a more developed state. It makes sense for the GTV to be able to accommodate 4 people in order to keep up with competing with the car models above.

Auto Trendy’s take:

Alfa Romeo has grown a lot in the last few years, producing cars with incredible designs and performance specifications. It is very interesting for us to see how an Italian car manufacturer stands up to compete with some of the best manufacturers in the world, the Germans. We, at Auto Trendy, believe that this is a spice for a competitive atmosphere which usually gives birth to even greater development and higher successes.
