2021 BMW iX can be pre-ordered already

The 2021 BMW iNEXT (or iX) which debuted as a concept in 2019 is about to go into production from 2021. The customers can already pre-order the EV which is set to be the new technological flagship of the company, stealing the crown from the 7 series. BMW is still keeping quiet about the detail around the vehicle; however, we will share with you some of the things we know so far.

The power output is expected to be between 300 and 600 horsepower and the electric range from 400 to 600 km per a full charge. The numbers have been derived from a WLTP cycle.

The iNEXT will introduce BMW’s autonomous driving to the market.


The interior will be made from materials which are sensible to touch.


It will feature an intelligent Glass Control technology allowing the car windows to be darkened with the touch of a button.



New steering wheel design

The design has been inspired by motor racing with some unique contours.


It is flattened up and below to ensure a good visual of the instrument cluster.


Also, it helps for an easier entry and comfortable seating.


The newest EV of BMW is going into direct competition with Tesla and the other new electric SUVs. It said to be believed that a BMW iX with the most optional extras will go over the $100,000 price tag.
