The Venom F5 is a new hypercar set to hit the markets in 2021, designed to be the fastest car on Earth. With the aim to exceed 500 [km/h], the machine is all about engine performance, lightweight and, of course, aerodynamics.
The kerb weight of the vehicle is 1,385kg, whereas the carbon-fiber monocoque is only 86 kg of mass.
It has a drag coefficient of 0.39 Cd, which means that the resistance to air is very low, as the car slices through it. The front splitter and rear diffuser are made out of carbon fiber gloss as the standard, and, alternatively, can be crafted from satin. Last but not the least, there is a track pack available too.
The engine bay of the 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 is occupied by a Hennessey V8 twin-turbo “Fury” internal combustion engine. The performance specs of this insane motor are the following:
Compression ratio: 10:1
Power: 1817 hp @ 8,000 rpm
Power-to-weight ratio: 1,34 hp/kg
Power density: 277 hp/liter
Torque: 1617 Nm @ 5,000 rpm
Maximum rpm: 8,200 rpm (8,500 rpm F5 mode)
Auto Trendy’s take:
Hennessey has been trying to beat Bugatti and others, such as Koenigsegg, for years. The automaker is now claiming that the Venom F5 is capable of legitimately becoming the world’s fastest production car. We, at Auto Trendy, will stay away from guessing about the topic, and will only report on the results. Once the news hits the streets we will write the follow-up to this.
