The inspiration for the design of the 2021 Z Proto goes far back to the original Datsun 240Z, with some marks left from the Nissan 370Z, as well as the 370ZX.
On the powertrain side, the 400Z will be using a similar engine to the Nissan GT-R – twin-turbocharged V6 but with less power output. Volume-wise it will most likely use a 3.0-liter engine to produce 300 horsepower.
The Japanese car makers have promised to equip the Nissan Z Proto with a six-speed manual gearbox, however, a seven-speed automatic version is also being expected by some.
Even though the type of Z cabin has not been changed, there are a lot of new items around it. Starting from the seats material and dashboard looks reaching to many improvements in the infotainment options, to the well as in the safety and driver-assistance systems.
Auto Trendy’s take:
Today’s automotive world is changing with incredibly quick rates and that is scary to some as more and more car models can be seen only at showrooms and museums. Unlike some other automobile manufacturers, Nissan has decided to stick to the traditional feel with the 2021 Nissan 400Z and we at Auto Trendy think that this is not necessarily a bad thing. On the contrary, we even believe that remembering where you started from is a good hope for success.
