Subaru Europe has released the first teaser of the company's first all-electric SUV model. This upcoming 2023 model vehicle will be called the Solterra, a combination of the Latin words “Sun” and “Earth”. It is a joint development with Toyota, and it will be the first to use the brand's new electric platform: the e-Subaru Global Platform. The SUV will have the typical Subaru 4x4 drive.
At the rear, the roof is lowered as in a coupe, and the lights are “cutting into” the side parts. In the center of the cockpit is a huge touchscreen to control the main functions of the car. The dashboard is extended forward to the glass – similar to the i-Cockpit of Peugeot. At the moment, the Japanese do not disclose any technical indicators.
