The competition between object detection solutions is high within the development of autonomous vehicle technology. Big software names such as Google and Uber have shown their solutions, as well as smaller companies such as Kodiak Robotics. An Italian company that was founded in Italy in 2016 has not made its large mark yet, but still has impressive technology.

This is ARGO Vision. ARGO Vision develops AI-based solutions for multiple different applications. Two of the company’s major focuses are real-time object detection and real-time object classification, which makes it a great candidate for autonomous vehicle vision systems. Currently, ARGO Vision is more known for providing its technology for the CyclopEye – a parking lane detection system that helps drivers see if parking areas have free lanes or not.

Auto Trendy’s take:

ARGO Vision has not received much attention from the automotive industry, but could potentially help manufacturers that need help with the development of their self-driving systems. We won’t speculate on why not much attention has been given to ARGO Vision, but will say that the company is worth giving a closer look to.
