Anyone who pays attention to the news has heard about multiple satellites being launched into space over the past few years. The fact that we have such transport into space is known. But who is actually providing the machines for this transport? Who is actually developing the commercial vehicles of space?

Arianespace: Since 1980, Arianespace has been developing commercial space transport launchers. Similar to on-land commercial vehicles, each one of the company’s launchers has to hold a certain amount of payload and drop it off at a specified destination. Adding on to that, Arianespace uses the same principles of ridesharing (e.g. Uber) to transport multiple satellites into space for multiple companies – in one mission.

Auto Trendy’s take:

Although this isn’t a traditional Auto Trendy article, it showcases the many facets of mobility. The same way we view trucks or last-mile vehicles, similar concepts are used in projects as large as Arianespace. It’s interesting to look at it from that perspective and realize that the missions are so similar yet the technology is so different!
