When one thinks of Audi, one usually associates it with the Quattro. However, in order to emphasize the sporty qualities of the R8, the people of Ingolstadt have been long offering the Coupé and Roadster versions of the model only with rear-wheel drive. Until now, the 5.2-liter V10 unit has relied on 540 hp. – but from October this year, the machine will generate 570 hp. and 550 Nm.

The current basic modification will be dropped from the range. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h remains unchanged – 3.7 seconds, but the maximum speed is already higher by 5 km/h and reaches 329 km/h. Prices will start from nearly €150.000,-.

Auto Trendy’s take:

A 2022 MY vehicle with a V10 engine! Is that light in the tunnel for the petrol heads? The answer is probably not, however, it gives a temporary euphoria. We, at Auto Trendy, are liberal and would like for all drivers to have the opportunity to hold the wheel of whatever car they like. Nevertheless, the 2022 Audi R8 is most likely one of the last internal combustion engine cars for this era and there is not much left to do except to adore it.
