With the first of three prototypes to be unveiled in the coming months, Audi has begun to present its vision for its future as design and technology. The first model is called Skysphere and is an impressive roadster with an interesting feature - it can change its length by 25 cm at the wheelbase. The purpose of this transformation is to make the car comfortable enough in a comfortable mode, while at the same time being a remarkable sports model in a sports one.

The Audi concept model has a rear-wheel drive and electric drive. Maximum power is 624 horsepower and the torque reaches 750 Nm. The car weighs 1,800 kilograms, sprinting from 0 to 100 [km/h] in 4 seconds. The capacity of the batteries located behind the front seats is 80 kWh, which is enough to travel about 500 kilometers.

In sport mode, the rear wheels also turn, and in comfort mode, the steering wheel and pedals disappear so that both passengers and the driver can enjoy a journey in complete comfort. For this to work, the Skysphere concept has a level four of autonomy, which means that it can move completely independently, without the need for human control.

Otherwise, the interior of the Audi Skysphere concept is characterized by two extremely comfortable and convenient seats. The entire dashboard is occupied by displays with a total length of 1.42 m and a height of 18 cm. They are used to visualize the readings for driving in sports mode and for watching movies and entertainment in comfort. The temperature in the salon is adjusted through small screens in the doors.

The other Audi concept models will be named Grandsphere and Urbansphere, the main thing being that they demonstrate a new way of shaping the passengers (called "sphere", as the word "sphere" is part of their name).

That conclusion comes from a quick judgement at the company’s last models, such as the Audi RS e-tron GT. We are even more interested in the coming two concepts which we know nothing about yet.
