Auve Tech, the Estonian autonomous vehicle manufacturer has announced its new prototype – the MiCa. MiCa builds on years of self-driving technology development and enables a much greater level of safety than before. Already driving autonomously in 12 countries, Auve Tech’s new vehicle leaves room to expand to new markets.

The MiCa is enhanced for safety with 10 cameras and 7 LiDAR sensors. As a result, it can “see” its surrounding far better and adapt to harsh-weather conditions with minimal issues. Although not yet on the road, MiCa shows real promise for autonomous transport.

Auto Trendy’s take:

The main concern with self-driving vehicles is the safety risk. With the upgraded vision systems, the safety of such a vehicle is far improved and the vehicle is thus more reliable. Passengers of the MiCa could take the advice of Mika and, “Relax, take it easy.”
