The seventh edition of BMW Series 7 contains everything from modern technology that is in fashion today. Alongside the existing diesel and all-electric (i7) versions, there is now going to be a plug-in hybrid variant as well. What is even more? The first M Performance car with a plug-in hybrid drive system will be introduced – the BMW M760e xDrive.

The drive system is made up of a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line unit with M TwinPower Turbo technology and an electric motor. The internal combustion engine will produce 380 hp (280 kW) and rated torque of 530 Nm (383 lb-ft), which will go up to 571 hp (420 kW) and a torque of 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) when teamed up with the electric motor. The run from 0 to 100 km/h takes only 4.3 seconds. If you would like to do a mid-range sprint from 80 to 120 km/h, it will take you 2.7 seconds.

By preliminary data, the combined fuel consumption will be 1.3 – 1.0 liter/100 km; electric power consumption combined: 26.0 – 23.7 kWh/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 29 – 23 g/km in the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Test Procedure) cycle.

Auto Trendy’s take:

The BMW M760e xDrive is unarguably a multi-functional vehicle from a new level. We, at Auto Trendy, believe that it combines in itself the ability to give an amazing driving experience on the fast lane, while managing to be compliant with regulations and zero-emission zones. The all-electric range of this hybrid vehicle is up to 85 kilometers, which should be more than enough for any city trip.
