Bolt is an Estonian ride-sharing company that has been widely known for its electric step-scooters across Europe. Always looking for ways to innovate and ensure more frictionless sharing, Bolt has released its brand new charging docks. The first of these docks has been activated in Tallinn, Estonia last week.
By 2022, the company expects to deploy 1500 charging docks across Europe. These docks are easy to use and do not require any cables or plug-ins. Instead, the user simply needs to place the scooter in the dock. With the users taking care of the charging, it is likely that there will be more scooters available and they will also likely be easier to find.
Auto Trendy’s take:
This is a great solution to make sure that these scooters stay as green as possible. No van needs to come to carry step-scooters to a charging location. Now users can charge them on their own after they reach their destination.
