Munich-based startup Lilium is continuously becoming more well-known with its international deals. First setting up routes in multiple locations including New York, and now making deals in Brazil. Lilium is in the midst of negotiating a deal with the Brazilian airline Azul.
The deal is said to be centered around 220 Lilium air taxis, which have a total worth of $1 billion. Spare parts will also be included as part of the deal, and deliveries are expected to start after 2025. Azul is planning to develop a Brazilian air taxi network, and believes that Lilium is the perfect partner for this development.
Auto Trendy’s take:
With a market as huge as Brazil, the sky is the limit. Azul has been operating in this market since 2008 and likely has a good vision on the upcoming flight demands of this market.
When Auto Trendy first wrote about Lilium, we did not expect the company to grow as quickly as it has. Now, it seems that its name is constantly making headlines. With all these incoming orders and partnerships, we hope that Lilium will be able to live up to expectations and deliver all orders, making it the largest operating eVTOL company of the 2020s.
