German company, Citkar, was founded in 2013 when the first drawing of the robust cargobike was created. From there, the company has been able to develop and manufacture the vehicle as well as gaining multiple clients across three countries. One of them is the online-shopping giant, Zalando.
The bike is currently being manufactured in Berlin. It has 4 wheels, an electric motor, and can carry loads of up to 235 kg. These bikes also have a top speed of 25 km/h and a driving range of 60 km. Although it is a bike, it still has the comfort of a car – with adjustable seats, a roof, dashboard-like control on the steering wheel, and leaf suspension.
Auto Trendy’s take:
There are countless cargobike manufacturers with similar speed and load configurations out there. After all, these limits are set legally. Citkar separates itself from the rest of the competition with its bike’s comfort features. The German cargobike manufacturer seems to provide its drivers the full comfort of a car while driving a bike.
