Above are the five trends which are expected to shape the future of the automotive sector and human mobility in general.
The car of the future will be more eco-friendly in terms of emission and noise, as it will be electric. It will require less time and involvement from the driver’s side as it will be autonomous. It will be easier to access because a driving license will not be needed. In addition, it will not have to necessarily be bought because it will be shared. Users will have the option to pay small amounts only when they need to travel.
Last but not the least, the concept of the Connected Car comes into play too. This concept speaks about the car-to-car connection as well as the connection of the car occupants with the outer world through communication, working and internet surfing.
All these changes will lead to a different rate of innovation within the automotive industry. Therefore, the well-known vehicle model cycles of five to ten years could pretty soon be a thing of the past. Instead, research papers state that models will be updated yearly for the most recent hardware and software changes.
Shorty, the car of the future will be very eascy.
Auto Trendy’s take:
The automotive sector is obviously facing an inevitable and a big change for both the vehicle manufacturers and us, the users. Some manufacturers have already stated their plans to accommodate the market changes, and others will have to find their own solution before it is too late. This will keep almost everyone curious and most of all us. We will keep our eyes open and focused on what is to come in the automotive sector and we will be impatient to report to you all.
