Canadian manufacturer ElectraMeccanica are new to the automotive game but are starting off strong. With three vehicles ready for order, they are entering the industry at full force. These vehicles are electric but with a twist. Two of these cars have a vintage feel and the third is simply unique. The unique model is called the Solo.
The Solo is a three-wheeled electric car that is meant for just one person. It is very cozy and will likely fit very easily into any parking space. ElectraMeccanica say that the Solo is, “safer than a motorcycle, cooler than a car.”
The vegan friendly car has a driving range of 100 miles and a top speed of 80 mph. It is available for pre-order at $18,500, and ElectraMeccanica are already offering test drives.
Auto Trendy’s take:
There is no doubt that the Solo is unique. It seems like a car that would be fun to drive with the centrally placed steering wheel and unconventional chassis. Car companies such as ElectraMeccanica are using the electric vehicle revolution to push out some very unique ideas and it will be interesting to see which ones catch on.
