In 2021, Honda continues its triumphant march in the prestigious world competitions. In addition to all the other awards won so far, the "e" model added to its portfolio the title "World Car of the Year" in the "urban models" category.
In addition, the electric model is third in the overall standings.
The new Honda Jazz e: HEV is also in the top three in the category of "urban models" and thus the Japanese brand dominated in this segment. Both compact city cars play an important role in Honda's commitment to electrify 100% of its leading European model range by 2022.
Honda e, the brand's first fully electric car, was honored by 93 journalists from 28 countries. The Japanese electric car has received recognition for the agile reactions of the drive and its fun control, its exceptional technology, its connectivity, and its incredible modern design.
The car is equipped with an electric motor of 150 horsepower, 315 Newton-meters of torque and all allows it to reach 0-100 km/h in 8.4 seconds.
Auto Trendy’s take:
Honda is a special car brand, even among car enthusiasts. There are a lot of people who love it, but also a lot of people who do not see anything good in it. The debate has been existing for years and it has gone as far as comparing a Honda with a lawn mower. However, this award on a global level is proof enough to convince everyone that Honda is still good in what they do. We, at Auto Trendy, would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to them. Good one!
