Hyundai will launch a special model of the i30 N: the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition. A total of 800 copies will be produced – 620 of them are planned for the European market. In the Limited Edition there are mostly changes in the looks of the car. The goal is, at first glance, to distinguish the "South Korean" from the i30 N and i30 N Performance. Nevertheless, the whole drive has been taken from the i30 N Performance: 2-liter turbo gasoline unit with 280 hp and a maximum torque of 392 Nm.

The focus of the Drive-N Limited Edition is on appearance

The Hyundai i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition will be available in Phantom Black Pearl and Serenity White Pearl. Regardless of the color, the rims will be 19-inch with a finish of dark bronze or matte black.

There are bronze accents all over the car: on the two front fenders there is a plaque depicting the coordinates of the Hyundai Motor Europe Test Centers on the Nürburgring. Since 2011, all Performance models of the Korean brand have been developed and tested on the Nürburgring. There are also bronze decorations above the door sills.

Apart from bronze, the dominant color in the design of the car is red. There is a red line on the bumper, as well as above the bronze decorations on the thresholds. The brake calipers are also painted red and stand out against the bronze rims.

Auto Trendy’s take:

This Korean hot hatch looks surprisingly sharp and well-designed on the outside. We, at Auto Trendy, believe that it will be a very strong rival to some of the biggest players on the European market such as the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S. In other words, despite the limited amount of 620 pieces, the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition might significantly strengthen the market position of Hyundai in the hot hatch segment, if not in general, if customers come to like. That we cannot guess, but it will definitely keep us waiting. Stay tuned!
