Arrival and LeasePlan have confirmed a partnership that will bring 3000 Arrival vans into Europe. These vans will arrive in the third quarter of 2021. The main goal of this deal is to combat the increasing demand of online shopping without increasing driving emissions.
LeasePlan is the world’s largest Car-as-a-Service (CaaS) company. CaaS is similar to leasing but with more flexibility and the ability to upgrade cars at any time. Arrival is a unicorn startup that produces electric vans and has already signed deals with household names such as UPS and Uber. This partnership is another step for Arrival in cementing its vans within the world of transport.
Auto Trendy’s take:
People who are currently living in Europe have probably noticed that our delivery vans are all powered by combustion engines. When it comes to last-mile vehicles, we either have bicycle-based vehicles or diesel vans. This partnership will enable the volume to be transported while decreasing emissions on the road.
