eVTOLs (electric Vertical Take-off and Landing vehicles) come in all shapes and sizes. Lilium has been making headlines for a few years at this point regarding its first-ever eVTOL jet. The propulsion works by using a single stage rotor/stator system to mimic a common jet engine.
The Bavarian company has now introduced even further updates to the jet cabin’s design. One of these updates is the “seat club” configuration in which 4 seats are available along with a desk-like setup. The other is the “high speed goods delivery” setup in which the cabin is completely empty and leaves space for goods to be carried.
Auto Trendy’s take:
Up until now, most news around eVTOLs has been regarding ridesharing solutions. Lilium’s high speed goods delivery setup allows this technology to be used to enhance logistical processes. Faster transport of lower volumes can now be accomplished at higher speeds.
