With a new concept, Lincoln (a brand of the giant Ford) reveals its plans for its electric future. The large SUV with a steeply sloping roofline is called the Star and impresses with its extremely clean body. Designers have abandoned the window frames and door handles, which open in opposite directions and allow easy access to the incredibly spacious interior.
However, there are seats for only four passengers, and those in the back can stretch their legs on special supports built into the front seats. An XXL display extends in front of the driver and front passenger. Lincoln has not yet provided information on the model's technology and has not revealed whether Star will go into series production. Over the next four years, however, the brand plans to launch four models of electricity.
Auto Trendy’s take:
We, at Auto Trendy, have been charmed by the design of this new SUV Concept and that has made us more curious about the production version, which is expected to appear on the market by 2025. More specifically, it will be very interesting to see which of all the concept features, as well as what kind of powertrain, will be incorporated in it. Last but not least, we wonder about any potential delay amid current supply chain and economic challenges.
