McLaren Automotive is on its way to adding a new supercar to its lineup. It is a hybrid vehicle and it is called Artura. McLaren Artura will be launched in early 2021, and it will probably go into production some time in 2022. The car will have all the company’s automotive expertise used in it to define a whole new era.

What do we know so far?

The machine will be propelled by a twin-turbo V6 engine in combination with an electric motor, and it is expected to be more powerful than previous models. Since the Artura will replace the current 570S, we can make some guesses about its performance. It will most likely be able to produce more than 560 horsepower and more than 600 Newton-meters.

The forthcoming McLaren hybrid supercar will introduce a new lightweight platform to the British market. The estimated starting price is exceeding $200,000.

Auto Trendy’s take:

Electrification is an obvious automotive trend and we have said that before. Its main purpose is the reduction of greenhouse gases for a cleaner environment. However, the torque capabilities of an electric powertrain are becoming more and more interesting to car manufacturers in the performance perspective. The 2022 McLaren Acura is a supercar hybrid which is coming to the market to prove the other advantages of the electric motor in car propulsion. We, at Auto Trendy, are curious about the end results which we will share with you once they’re out!
