Israeli startup Optibus develops software for mobility that optimizes planning and management. By digitizing public transport vehicles such as buses, Optibus’ technology transforms the efficiency of the fleets and lowers the operating costs.
Optibus already has such operations in thousands of cities worldwide. Now, the company has gone into a joint venture with the Volvo Group. Volvo Group Venture Capital has provided funds to Optibus and will also provide the startup with access to Volvo’s vehicles.
Auto Trendy’s take:
Startups are paving the way to our future. They have the ambition to take risks and pioneer new technologies. Companies like Volvo can then come in and help build up those technologies to further develop their own products. A software like Optibus’ will surely help any bus fleet as the optimization would potentially save costs on every bus ride.
