Pagani Huayra Codalunga is a Longtail limited version of Huayra.
No other manufacturer has mastered the art of small series and single pieces as well as Pagani. Huayra NC recently debuted – a single unit based on BC, but without winged doors. And just a few weeks later Pagani shows Huayra Codalunga. Will this special model really be the latest version of Huayra?
The idea for Codalunga is from 2018.
The idea for Codalunga dates back to 2018, when two long-time customers came with a request to Horatio Pagani to design their Longtail version of Huayra. Longtail is the English translation of the Italian term Codalunga.
Four years after the first vision, Codalunga is ready. Only five copies will be produced, each with a price of €7.3 Million.
Codalunga is 36 cm longer than the normal Huayra and more powerful
For this purpose, the car's entire rear has received a new design. Elements such as the new tail lights and the absence of a diffuser make the looks of Codalunga totally different from that of the usual Huayra. Despite its total length of around 5 meters, the hypercar weighs only 1,280 kg, claiming Pagani’s signature even stronger.
In the Huayra Codalunga, there is a Pagani 6.0-litre V12 bi-turbo unit that easily produces 840 horsepower and 1100 Nm of maximum torque transmitted to the rear wheels by Getrag's sequential 7-speed transmission.
Auto Trendy’s take:
We, at Auto Trendy, feel difficulties expressing any bad feelings for a car that is purely a piece of art. Interestingly and despite the high base price, all five copies of the Pagani Huayra Codalunga have long since sold out. This exciting project not only shows that the desire to individualise the car is growing but also how a vision becomes a car reality. We are curious to see if the Codalunga will really be Huayra's latest special model.
