Following suit of several brands that have recently changed their logos to new ones (Renault, Peugeot), Dacia now thinks it is time to do so too.
Therefore, the brand logo has been redesigned. From 2022 onwards, the cars will be decorated with a new, more abstract version.
What will the new logo look like? The Romanian brand has already shown it with their latest concept – The Bigster. At first glance, the new emblem looks like a horizontally positioned letter X, however, in reality it consists of stylized letters D and C. Both letters are quite ridged, which makes the design look much more aggressive and rustic compared to the current logo shown on the right.
The new logo is part of Dacia’s five-year plan to launch three new vehicles before (to be launched by2025). In addition, with the new logo, Dacia will part with the blue color as characteristic of the brand. The future color of Dacia is green and the new Romanian logo is part of a planned change in Dacia's image. The brand no longer wants to be perceived as a manufacturer of cheap cars and intends to become cooler - of course by continuing to offer models at reasonable prices.
Auto Trendy’s take:
With the change that Dacia is currently undertaking, we see the impact of electrification on the brand image. We are looking at a trend where innovative and more futuristic looks of the cars are in constant development. All of that speaks for future streets full of cars which will change the feel of the atmosphere to a new, modernistic – if not sci-fi like.
