Segway, the company that produces the self-balancing two-wheeled vehicles that tourists rent, has been developing some more automotive-related products for the past few years. The company has just announced the Apex H2, a powerful motorcycle with an incredibly futuristic design.
Unlike almost any other bike on the market, the Apex H2 runs on hydrogen. For convenience, the hydrogen cylinders can be interchanged, similar to AA batteries in the typical TV remote. Unfortunately, not much information is known so far and the pictures provided are only concept renders. Production will start in 2023. The table below shows the currently known specifications:

Auto Trendy has always been in support of hydrogen energy, however, the hydrogen-related articles we write are usually more related to commercial vehicles that need to be light and drive for long distances. Although it’s impressive that Segway is able to produce a hydrogen motorbike, the main challenge that will come with the success of the bike is the lack of current hydrogen infrastructure.
