SUN Mobility and Omega Seiki Mobility’s 10,000 electric-three-wheeler partnership

Long-term Auto Trendy followers may remember our article about Sun Mobility. It is an Indian electric vehicle manufacturer that specializes in two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and buses. You may also remember that their unique solution to the Indian EV market was swappable battery stations.
A partnership with Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) will make electric three-wheelers a viable solution much sooner than initially expected. With this partnership, OSM will gain access to all of the SUN Mobility battery swap stations that are already scattered all over India. Together, the companies will deploy 10,000 vehicles across the nation. No dates have been announced yet.
Auto Trendy’s take:
Although SUN Mobility has its own vehicles, it is wise to expand the company’s solutions to include other partners. With more vehicles using the stations, SUN Mobility will have a higher chance of becoming the dominant force of Indian electrification. Furthermore, OSM benefits by having a true EV charging solution to its vehicles.
