Tata Motors is inspiring the future with its new EV concept car. It’s well-named as “Avinya,” which means “innovation” in Sanskrit. The SUV has a futuristic look that is non-comparable to the design and logo display of any Tata car previously seen.
Additionally, the Avinya has a battery with capabilities of handling ultra-fast charging. In just 30 minutes, the car is able to handle a range of 500 km – putting range anxiety at ease. Continuing with the underlying EV theme of sustainability, the Avinya also features a roomy interior that is made of recycled materials. In 2025 a range of Tata EVs will be launched based on the Avinya.
Auto Trendy’s take:
Tata is making a big statement with the complete modernization of the Avinya’s design. The features that the Avinya has present competitiveness with key market trends. It would be interesting to see how long the battery is able to handle such rapid charge rates. When charging and discharging a car, its battery capabilities worsen – same as with your phone. What has Tata done to enable its battery to reliably charge at ultra-fast speeds in order to avoid capacity issues?
