When people think of a vintage van, something similar to the Morris J comes to mind. The British van was the most iconic van of the 1950s but seems to have not been in action for years. In fact, Morris Commercial has not released a new vehicle since 1967. In 2017, Morris Commercial decided to bring the brand back to life and started development of the Morris JE.

The JE is a fully electric commercial vehicle that looks exactly the same as its classic 1950s predecessor. Retro is in vogue and Morris Commercial are taking advantage of that. Their new commercial vehicle is available for purchase as a van or a pickup truck. They also use convenient battery technology with the unique feature of charging 80% in 30 minutes. Morris Commercial have also stated that they plan for the van to be available as an autonomous vehicle in the future. The specifications of the JE are shown below:

Car, Auto, Autos, Automobile, Vehicle, Automotive news, Car news, Automatic cars, Car auto, Automotive Industry, Automobile Industry, Auto auto, Auto market, innovation(s), trend(s), AutoTrendy, AutomotiveTrendy

Auto Trendy’s take:

Although Morris Commercial is not pioneering any technology, it is fun to see them resurrecting their vintage designs to suit the trendy retro look that many people are looking for in 2020. Other than looking good, the van will also be very useful with its driving range of 320 kilometers and top speed of 90 miles per hour, which is perfect for the UK’s motorways.
