Tugbot produces unique Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR’s). These AMR’s are specifically built for intra-logistics processes such as moving heavy items around a warehouse. So far the Tugbot vehicle has proven itself in the warehouses of some big-name companies such as Zalando and Dell.
Now, the Tugbot 2 is being released. This is an upgraded version of the first Tugbot and can carry up to 600 kg. Furthermore, it has a battery life of 8 hours while the charging time is only 25 minutes. The company is constantly working on improving its automated mapping processes, so it will be interesting to see the efficiency differences between the Tugbot 2 and its predecessor.
Auto Trendy’s take:
It’s really nice to see the evolution of Tugbot’s products. The company is still at the beginning stages of its growth and already releasing cutting-edge products that improve on their predecessors. It would be interesting to see what developments Tugbot brings to intra-logistics in the coming years.
