Vietnamese startup VinFast was launched in 2017 and has two smart electric passenger cars. VinFast does its own manufacturing and wanted to make it even more efficient. With the help of Siemens, VinFast erected the largest digital automotive factory.

The factory has a closed-loop manufacturing system. With Siemen’s digital tools, the factory has a digital replica which is updated in real time. This helps VinFast identify any means of improving production processes and managing live production. Such a system helps notice insights that may not have otherwise been seen. The two companies brought the factory to life in an outstanding 21 months.

Auto Trendy’s take:

VinFast has built a huge factory with the latest manufacturing technology within it. This is impressive in itself, but what’s more impressive is that the company predicts to have a demand that meets the capacity of the manufacturing facility. Siemens helped VinFast build this facility, so it may be a good indication that VinFast will soon become a much more well-known name.
