The Volvo Group has been extremely focused on lowering its carbon footprint. All of its segments – be it cars, trucks, or construction equipment – have been at the forefront of electrification and sustainability. Leading in heavy equipment, Volvo Construction Equipment is further electrifying its vehicles.
The DD25 Electric Asphalt Compactor is the first-ever electric vehicle that Volvo has released for the road segment. This vehicle, as the name suggest, rolls over fresh asphalt to flatten and compact it. It is not yet on the road, and will be officially debuted at CONEXPO in Las Vegas later this year.
Auto Trendy’s take:
Volvo is continuing to impress with its electric vehicles. Ahead of the game, the Swedish manufacturer is releasing equipment that is sustainable and can be used to lower emissions in daily construction. The only question is, “is the market ready?”
