The company is known for increasing fleet mobility efficiency with their unique self-developed technologies. Founded in 2016, the company has already gone public and have been racking up some high-profile clients such as UPS. One of their main goals is to improve communities by offering efficient mobility solutions through their commercial vehicles.
With the Xos Trucks commercial vehicles, come the in-house-developed batteries. These batteries are referred to as X-Packs and have great functions such as a modularity and a long life. Although the X-Pack can work as a standalone unit, it can also be matched with other X-Packs to provide the best solution for a specific client in terms of range as well as battery positioning.
When looking at the company from Dakota Semler’s perspective—Xos Trucks’ CEO and Co-Founder—, it is clear that sustainability is the main mission. Ever since he got his first car, he has been on a personal mission to lower vehicle emissions. He started off by converting his own pickup truck into an environmentally friendly truck. Soon after he started developing solutions for commercial vehicles such as vans and trucks. His mission is coming to fruition with the success that Xos Trucks has been receiving through its growing client list.

Listing the company public within five years of its founding and supplying sustainable delivery fleets is no easy task. Although the success of the company has been great so far, there is still a long way to go. With the company’s mission being to improve communities by making them more sustainable, it can be said that Xos Trucks is off to an amazing start but still has its work cut out in order to achieve this hefty mission.
